The attitude of gratitude is the highest yoga. It is especially important to remain positive and grateful during times of uncertainty. Be the change you wish to see in the world, by spreading love, strength, and wisdom. Often times, the younger generation does not see the big picture in life. They do not know that peace comes from within, as they are just not there yet on their personal journey. Appreciating what you already have is the key to true happiness. Tell someone in your life that you are grateful for them. Be specific and tell them what you love about them. It just may be the very thing that changes their life.
Gratitude poem from the 8th century:
My daily affairs are quite ordinary;
but I'm in total harmony with them.
I don't hold onto anything, don't reject anything;
nowhere an obstacle or conflict.
Who cares about wealth and honor?
Even the poorest thing shines.
My miraculous power and spiritual activity;
drawing water and carrying wood.
